Hi all. I have uninstalled some programs from my computer. However, the icons, though unchecked, remain in the startup tab of the msconfig program. Since the problems have been uninstalled, i want to remove these entries from the startup tab. Does anyone know how this can be done?

It can't be done.
I use this cool lil program called startup control panel.

With this, you can remove erronious programs from your startup group, plus various sections of your registry. Once installed, it will appear as another item in your control panel. Better yet, it's free.
